Our Messy, Delicious Breakfast #FinishRiseandShine

A couple of facts about me: I love a challenge.  And I’m often very cynical about promised product results.

So when I was asked to take the Finish Rise and Shine Challenge, I quickly agreed.  I whipped up a messy and delicious weekend breakfast for the family, a pan of Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast.

I love this recipe because you can quickly throw it together the night before and let it sit overnight in the fridge before baking in the morning.  {I’ve included the full recipe at the bottom of this post.}

We enjoyed our delicious breakfast but when it was all over I was left with a dirty pan, covered in jam and eggs.

Jam was hardened into the corners of my beautiful orange pan.  It was the kind of mess that I can’t stand.  I love cooking but I don’t love the nasty dishes that are left at the end.

Time for the challenge!  This challenge came with a set of rules.  When the meal was over, I was to leave my pan alone all day.  No rinsing, no soaking, nothing.  By bedtime, that jam was dried up and hardened and a true mess.

Without rinsing, I put the pan into the dishwasher and ran it, using Finish Quantum with New Power Gel.

And let me tell you, this little package truly packs some power!  The multi-chamber technology activates each cleaning ingredient when it’s needed during the cleaning cycle.

When my dish came out of the dishwasher, it was spotless!  Not one speck of food was left on the pan and it looked exactly as it did when I first bought it.

The pan was actually shining … and my husband and I were in a state of disbelief.  We really didn’t expect any detergent to work that well but Finish Quantum with New Power Gel left my pan looking like new.

I’m so impressed with this product and I’ll be using it on all my hard-to-clean dishes from here on out.

Have you tried Finish Quantum with New Power Gel?  You can take the Finish Rise and Shine Challenge too!  I’d love to hear what you think of this product.

And before you run off, here’s the recipe:
Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast
2 ounces light cream cheese
12 slices day-old white bread
1/2 cup strawberry jam
4 large eggs
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup whole strawberries for garnish
Spread cream cheese on 6 slices of bread.  Spread jam on remaining 6 slices and put the strawberry and cream cheese slices together, forming 6 sandwiches.  Arrange sandwiches in a single layer in a lightly sprayed 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, salt, and melted butter.  Pour over sandwiches, and turn to coat.  Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.  Bring to room temperature before baking.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Bake, uncovered, until lightly browned, 35 to 40 minutes.  Serve garnished with fresh strawberries.

I received the detergent used in this post as well as a thank-you gift in exchange for this honest review.  All photos and opinions are my own.
