An Easter Table for Kids

The girls over at Uncommon Designs have been sharing beautiful Easter tablescapes all week and today they’re featuring my easter table for kids.  If you’re popping over from Uncommon Designs, welcome … I’m so glad you stopped by!

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love simple.  I’m sure I use that word in almost every post I write here.  And this sweet tablescape is indeed simple.  A few supplies, most of which you probably have on hand, and your kids will have a table they’ll be begging to sit at … instead of feeling like they’ve been banished away from the adults!

I started out by covering a small table with bright fabric from my stash.  I layered it and left the edges raw on the runner because I’m all about casual.

These fun bunny plates are perfect for the kiddos.  I used a white dinner plate for the body and a smaller salad plate for the head.

The little bunny nose is made from vinyl and the other details are drawn on with edible markers.  If you’re worried about your kids eating the vinyl nose, you could draw it on as well.

The bunny ears just sit on the table, tucked under the edge of the plate.  I cut ovals from white cardstock and added pink vinyl centers.

A white pompom tail finishes it off.

Every bunny needs a carrot so I wrapped green utensils in an orange napkin, circled it with yarn-wrapped wire, and tucked it in next to the rabbit.

A little carrot patch sits in the center of the table.  Foil wrapped chocolate carrots set in white tins, tucked among some leftover Easter grass and a few plastic eggs.

The carrots provide a little behavior incentive for the kiddos {wink}.

See?  I told you it was simple.

My little ones can’t wait to sit at their funny bunny table for Easter dinner!

Randi Dukes About Randi Dukes

I’m Randi, a wife and stay-at-home mom of five kids, ranging from preschool to high school. I love strong coffee, craft and DIY projects, my planner, my laptop, and my big ol’ family. When I’m not creating something for my blog, I can be found in the car, running kids from one place to another. I’m the one knitting at the red light.
