Red Hot Cinnamon Candy Hearts

Here’s something fun {and a little spicy!} for Valentine’s Day: cinnamon candy hearts made with red hot candies!  These would be delicious dissolved in a cup of tea or cocoa or as decorations on top of cupcakes.

To make these, you just need small cinnamon candies {found in the candy aisle at most stores}.

I made these in much the same way I made my peppermint serving tray.  I sprayed a heart-shaped mini muffin/candy tin with cooking spray and filled the hearts with candies.

Bake at 350 degrees for about ten minutes, watching carefully for the last few minutes.  Take them out when the candies are melted but before they burn.

I popped the pan into the freezer to cool them then carefully popped them out of the pan.  When popping them out, be careful not to break the candy hearts.  I slipped a small knife under the edge of each heart to loosen them and then slid them out.

These candy hearts look so shiny and pretty and would be a really fun embellishment at a valentine party!
