Pie Pops for National Pie Day

Happy National Pie Day!  In honor of the day, we broke out our new pie pop maker and put it to the test!  Pie pops are just so cute … who doesn’t love a tiny pie on a stick?
National Pie Day

When I hosted our Christmas open house last month, friends brought us a super fun hostess gift … adorable Christmas plates and this pie pop maker!  I’ll admit that I’m such a nerd that I laid in bed that night just dreaming up pie pop ideas.  Don’t tell anyone.

I kept the first pie pop batch simple, using refrigerated pie crusts and canned cherry pie filling.  This little pie pop maker is so simple … you just lay the ingredients in it, add the sticks, and squeeze it all together.  They pop right out of the pie pop maker and into the oven.  Fun, huh?

I’m looking forward to experimenting with different pie fillings and I’m sure pie pops will be showing up at a lot of parties this year.

Have you ever made pie pops?  Do you have any tips for me?

I’ve started truncating my posts … please pop over to my blog to read the rest!

  1. I’ve never seen those before, I think it looks like more fun than cake pops!

  2. So glad you liked it! We’ll have to plan a Pie Pop Playdate as an excuse to get together again soon. :) Thanks for the linkup!

  3. Oh fun! Need to get me one of those :)

  4. Hi. Just wondering where I can get one of those pie pop makers.

This one was a gift but I believe it came from Target. Not sure if they still carry them though. Have you checked Amazon?
