Concrete Curbing for the Front Yard

Our front yard has, embarrassingly, been in a state of shambles for a while.  We had brick edging that was constantly falling over {or being tipped over so kids could look for bugs hiding underneath} and the gardens needed {and still need} some mulching, planting, and love.

A couple of months ago, we made one big improvement and had concrete curbing installed around our front gardens and trees.

You can see the gardens still need work but at least we’ve started.  The clean lines of the curbing have made such an improvement in our curb appeal.

It’s given a more tailored maintenance-free appearance to our front yard …

… and I have high hopes for the work we’ll continue to do.  In the meantime, I’m really happy with our new look.

And the pumpkins {over 200 pounds brought home for free from the now-closed pumpkin patch} add some fun fall flair.

How do you edge your gardens?  What looks do you love?

Randi Dukes About Randi Dukes

I’m Randi, a wife and stay-at-home mom of five kids, ranging from preschool to high school. I love strong coffee, craft and DIY projects, my planner, my laptop, and my big ol’ family. When I’m not creating something for my blog, I can be found in the car, running kids from one place to another. I’m the one knitting at the red light.

  1. That is a LOT of pumpkins! Lol. This looks great, very finished. I woild use it like a balance beam! Hahahahhaha

  2. That looks so good. I love how a minor thing can make a HUGE different!!

  3. It always feels so good when something like that gets complete. We are going to have to do something like that in our back yard. We had a large fish pond that we have since filled in. The fish drove my kids and the magpies crazy with love. Around that raised flower bed is a brick wall that has been disassembled by bug hunters. The wall will never be the same again. :) It definitely needs some support! Maybe I’ll get to it this summer.

    You have a beautiful house!

  4. Love this!!! Very pretty and it seems to really add a lot of character to your house!! We just have a wooden border, I want something different though!

  5. Kerbing – Add beauty and value to your landscape by having continuous concrete garden edging. Numerous Kerbing Designs avaliable.
