I love having a little theme to my kids’ playdates. Not always, of course, but sometimes it’s just fun. If you’re going to have a friend over, why not add a themed snack and make it special?
This little wheels playdate started with these napkins. Home Goods. Clearance. I loved them.
Tate’s little friend, Brenner, came over with his trike and we hit the path near our house for a wheely good time.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
Luke and Lila joined in the fun as well. Scooters, bikes … anything with wheels was welcome.
I’ve loved these little scooter snacks since I first saw them and had to serve them for our playdate. Aren’t they cute? {I used candy melts to hold the scooters together rather than icing.}
The kids snacked away while I eavesdropped on the cute conversations they had. Tate was so funny and loved having her little friend over.
We’re looking forward to lots of time with friends this summer.

Brenner had a fantastic time! He told me all about the cookies and pretzels. Thanks for having him over to play and ride his trike!

That is so sweet! I love the theme. It seems like Tate likes to be a little hostess.

We plan to adapt this for a kid who uses a wheelchair – I think it will work out great to have them all rolling along! http://tadpoleadaptive.com
